  • 12th Feb – 27th April 2019:  Two stunning exhibitions will combine to provide a spectacular, colourful show "Matisse: Drawing with Scissors alongside Diaghilev’s Ballets Russes". The exhibition also includes work by other great artists of the period including Dame Laura Knight.

  • Friday 8th Mar 2019: Illustrated talk by Alison Bevan, Colwall Village Hall, Mill Lane, Colwall, WR13 6EQ  at 7.30pm.

    We are delighted that Alison Bevan, Director of the Royal West of England Academy, makes a return visit to our society and this time to talk about the work of Dod Procter, entitled "Dod Procter RA RWA (1890-1972) A Singular Vision"

    Doris Margaret Shaw RA (known as 'Dod') lived and worked in West Cornwall for most of her life and became a great friend of the Knights in the vibrant art colony of Lamorna Valley in the early part of the 20th century. Click to view more info (pdf)

  • Exhibition: on the work of Alfred Munnings: War Artist, 1918
  • Venue: The National Army Museum, Chelsea London.
    Date: 30 November 2018 - 3 March 2019
    Sir Alfred Munnings was one of Britain's most celebrated equine artists and a close friend of the Knights.
    This exhibition features over 40 original paintings from his time with the Canadian Expeditionary Force during the First World War. Click here to read more.
